Mobi organizes first Latvian Mobile Monday

The first MobileMonday Latvia event took place on April 6th in Riga, the Morberga Hall of the Hotel Riga. The event's theme was "Latvian Mobile Service Market and Near Future Trends."

Among the speakers the opening Mobile Monday event in Latvia were Jari Tammisto, the CEO of Mobile Monday, Juris Kaza, a prominent Latvian blogger and journalist, as well as speakers from Delfi.lv and Mobi Solutions.

The event, free and open to everybody interested, was attended by more than 90 guests. According to participants, it managed to gather enough momentum to initiate a movement towards establishing a Mobile Monday chapter in Latvia, leading to regular Mobile Monday events in Riga.
